A great talking point for the web site could be comparison to ShareDB.

One might wonder, what does Statecraft do differently/better than ShareDB?

Yeah good point. The notes are:

  • It has a more database-like view of the world
  • You don't need to do OT / realtime editing for it to be useful
  • Supports transactions across multiple documents
  • Raw TCP protocol as well as ws - its designed for native as well as web
  • (Soon) Native rust implementation of the server on top of FDB - much better performance.
