The information below is now outdated due to the recent v4.0.0 release!
As we had quite a few questions about the different versions of JPlag, here is a quick explanation.
We call original versions of JPlag legacy, with the newest legacy version being v2.12.1. JPlag legacy was replaced with v3.0.0, which is currently the latest release. It is available on maven central. The wiki and documentation are written for this version.
We are currently working on v4.0.0, which will bring major improvements, e.g., a completely new report viewer. Hopefully, we can release v4.0.0 in the next months. An early pre-release version of it is currently on the master branch but is very much unfinished. This means if you build JPlag from (current) sources, some things will be different. For example, JPlag generates JSON files as report output, which can be displayed with the report viewer beta.
