Since Nix is required, it would only run inside WSL2, no? so it should already be supported I guess.

It depends. Windows Subsystem for Linux it's the obvious choice, but maybe people are using Git Bash, Cygwin, MinGW, MSYS2, BusyBox, WindTerm... I need to check it, though

I see that r-universe tests using x86_64-w64-mingw32 https://www.mingw-w64.org/ on Windows Server 2022.
