Hi @duebelpapst, USB protocol is fundamentally different from PS2. Here's what Chat GPT thinks about this - https://chatgpt.com/share/678570b4-d53c-8002-9cdf-d69fe3a80e36 |

Hi, I have now tested 5 USB keyboards, unfortunately only a very old one works, and not the waterproof one. |

Hi Maxim,
I would like to use a waterproof keyboard, I still have one with a USB connector.
Do you think I can connect it to the ESP32 with a USB to PS2 adapter?
As far as I have seen, the adapter is connected as follows:
USB--------------PS2
PIN 1 5V+_______PIN 4 5V+
PIN 2 Data-______PIN 1 Data
PIN 3 Data+_____PIN 5 Clock
PIN 4 Ground____PIN 3 Ground
As far as I know, there is no active component in the adapter, the lines go straight through.
It works like this on the PC, on the ESP32 too?
Actually, you should be able to connect the USB cable in the same way.
Regards,
Stefan
