Is there a way to use this with subscriptions that are on a different server? A way to pass in a DDP connection or something?

Good Idea. We need to accept a custom connection.

+1 - I'm in the boat like the others. I use remote as the handler for my collections that are on the remote server, not Meteor. It currently goes back to Meteor, no way to redirect it to a remote collection.

Is this anywhere on Kadira's long list, @arunoda ? I know you guys are busy with Mantra and other future projects but this would be really helpful. As you can see it's at least 5 Meteor users that have said in this thread they need it.

Hope you can attend to it or one of Kadira's staff. Thanks in advance,

Andreas
