The Makefile has the recipe of release process:

Release:

  • change in version number, i.e. from 0.2.2 -> 0.23, trigger GH action to release

Some manual step:

  1. We still need to publish to https://open-vsx.org/ manually AFAIK (no CLI available)
  2. Set token inside repository so Github Action has the right to publish
