Kenzi3D v1.0.205 on JOSM v19067 3D render window behavior is as follows:
E / W - korrekt
N / S - mirrored, so i. e. direction = NE looks like SE
This applies to direction aliases like NNE as well, that are recognized, but mirrored too.
It does not look like the amenity=bench is correctly using the direction=* value.
