Function extension Approach ⚙️

How is Xplorer team going to approach Function Extensions. I’ve been thinking for past 6 hours to implement this functionality for my Application but can’t seem to get my head around it…

Approaches I thought of:

1. creating a rust library which would be cloned and stored in a pre specified app directory which the app would monitor for any new extensions and then use it to extend the functionality.
2. Creating a Tauri app for similar purpose, and giving it ability to inject Frontend into a specific part of application which would be able to invoke Rust functions defined in the same Tauri extension.
3. Creating a Tauri Plugin & then modifying the source to include the extended functionality and then recompiling it. This would be a really bad way to do it though :)
