Done Condition (What do we need? Why do we need it? Keep this is small as possible!)

When the import-genie-data script hits a failure condition which is unlikely to be recoverable, it could automatically abandons the import attempt.

Technical Description (How are we going to achieve the above)

the import process management database will be automatically updated to remove the "in-progress" state without manual effort.
we should decide on whether to do this and implement.
