You are right. However the Problems view has very basic filtering/grouping capabilities - there are feature requests to improve that in VS Code. Note we do use Problem view for grouping-by-file requested in #155 (or as workaround for grouping-by-class #227). In those cases filter text is short (extension name, file name).
