Add plugin checks to verify compatibility of underlying library

Follow-Up: #46

When plugin is being loaded there should be a classmethod (or similar) check to verify that underlying library has version given plugin is capable of understanding. This can be generalized to checking any sort of requirements and throwing errors but that part is not mandatory.
