Hey Kristoffer,

I was wondering if you were considering making python binding of ultra similar to mappy for minimap2?

Thanks,
Chang

Hi @cnk113,

It would be great, but my time is unfortunately not sufficient for this anytime in the near future.

At the moment I'm also not sure how it would work as uLTRA calls external programs such as slaMEM.

As a note to self: A majority of uLTRA is already implemented in Python, so uLTRA should not need a 'binding' in the sense that minimap does, but rather a small interface that simply imports the uLTRA file and perhaps a couple of the modules as a library and use the functions directly (everything is already python types).

Best,
K
