Describe the bug
I've been using some Waves plugins using ElementFX in OBS on Apple Silicon (since the official Waves support is so far behind).

It seems to sound and work great, monitoring the stream through headphones. However, the Waves plugin effects (being applied through ElementFX as an OBS Audio Filter) are effectively missing in the recording and the stream.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. On Apple Silicon, add an ElementFX filter to an Audio source
  2. In the diagram, insert any Waves plugin
  3. Listen (via monitor) and hear the effect has been applied
  4. When reviewing the recording (or stream output) the effect is missing

Expected behavior
I'd expect what I hear when monitoring the effect to also be what is recorded.
This is a weird one. I've not experienced this with anything else in OBS, and I may be putting this issue in the wrong place.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: MacOS Sequoia
  • Version 15.3
  • Apple Silicon (M2)

Standalone or Plugin
plugins

Additional context
Using multiple Waves plugins, though I have not tested to discern if this applies to other plugins.

Ok thanks. If it sounds fine in the monitor, then could it be something with monitor v.s. broadcasting audio settings. Depending on what you're setup, you might have better luck hooking up element standalone sending audio to a virtual driver. Then in OBS use the virtual driver's input.
