There already exists this one, although the installation method is very convoluted. |
Hi @manuelgitgomes , that one we use as driver and the installation is indeed a bit complicated. But this is not what we need I think. These are the drivers to communicate with the real hardware ... we are looking for a simulator. Am I misunderstanding something? |

I believe it is used as a gazebo model, but I might be wrong. Can you fact-check me @Sarxell? |
Hi @manuelgitgomes , If I am understanding the issue...the sick_lmdrs_laser only represents visually the Lidar, so it doesn't simulates the four beams, which is that's what @miguelriemoliveira wants right? For what I'm seeing from the velodyne tutorial. |

The idea is first to search for an existing gazebo sensor of the sick lrms, but if we can't find one we can develop following this tutorial.
