Getting more frequent updates to Meter Values during charging

After using this integration for a while with my Node-RED dashboard, I've been thinking it would be nice to see a quicker response on the sensors Power.Active.Import and Current.Offered when altering the Maximum_Current slider. At present, it can take up to a minute for those sensors to reflect the change.

So I tried changing the DEFAULT_METER_INTERVAL in const.py to 10 seconds, then restarted HA, but nothing has changed. Meter value updates are still sent every 60 seconds as before.

Is there anything else I need to change in order to make this adjustment?

Reinstall the integration and change the setting there to 10s from 60s. Otherwise you'll need to find where/how the integration settings are stored in HA to change it.

Yep, that did the trick, as shown by the logs...

Updates are now happening about every 11 seconds. Sometimes it seems the charger is too busy to provide them that quickly so the next one is delayed for a few seconds longer. Usually though, it's an 11 second interval, which is pretty good. It's obvious now that Current.Offered is updated internally by the charger much more often than Power.Active.Import but that's OK, it makes for a much more responsive dashboard ☺️
