Need help - Only SCB and peer offline --> Cannot force-close, no local commit TX for channel

I bricked my node, but I do have the Seed and the SCB. I saved the funds out of all channels except one. The peer is off
line and the channel is stuck on Waiting close. The peer won't come online again. I tried chantools and went to step
8 (forceclose), but I get the following error message: "Cannot force-close, no local commit TX for channel"
What am I doing wrong? Help is very much appreciated!

Since you don't have the original channel.db file available, you cannot force close. For that you would need to rescue that file from the bricked node and make sure it's still accessible and can be compacted.

The channel.db is extracted from the SCB I have from the bricked node. Do I understand that correct that this is not sufficient and the funds are gone forever? That would really be sad and an expensive learning experience. I was hoping that there is another some way to get the funds back.

The information in the SCB is not enough to create a force close transaction, as it does not include the latest transaction state. You do need the cooperation of the remote peer if you lose your original channel.db file. Are you sure there is no way to extract that file from the bricked node?

Thanks, I appreciate your help. I'll try it, but I have the feeling I made a donation to all other Bitcoin Holders. Guess I learned my lesson
