While upgrading your system to the latest version of Mint, there is no clear indicator for how long the process is coming along. This is me echoing a sentiment brought up by a user on the Linux Mint Discord server about a week ago who had their upgrade go incredibly slowly and wanted to see how far along the upgrade process was.
Something as simple as showing how many stages there are, how much progress in the current stage, or giving a basic ETA can go a long way for making a more readable user experience.
Personally, I am not a programmer, but I would like to push discussion towards making Mint even more user-friendly and welcoming to new users of Linux, especially with the constant stream of Windows refugees that come on a daily basis to what is supposed to be a very user friendly distro (like myself...). Simply letting the user know that progress is being made is very helpful.
Thank you!
