This is from Linux Mint Forum. I wanted to post it here, maybe it can be incorporated into the code base:

I found that by changing this line: settings.gtk_application_prefer_dark_theme = false; from true to false in this file: /usr/share/nemo-preview/js/ui/application.js (~line 92), then Nemo Preview correctly follows the theme of the Xed editor

If there's a particular reason this shouldn't be incorporated, please close the bug and forgive my ignorance.
