I recently came across your pyRouterJig software, and am very impressed – nice job! I’m a long time woodworker and run a home repair business of my own. I’ve been working on designing a very unique dovetail jig – unlike anything else on the market and I think your software could be of help in the design and use of my jig.
There’s one thing that would make the printout more useful, and I believe would also be of use to others who may use your software for doing dovetails by hand (and for those of us who are geometrically challenged). I know you designed it for use with the Leigh jig, for which the center of the cut is a useful measurement. How difficult would it be to also provide on the printout the measurement from the tip of the dovetail bit to the edge of the board – designated as “A” and “B” below? Sometimes its easier to measure from the tip of the router bit when setting up.
Regards,
Tom
