Active LUGs require reviewing to check their current status #132
Comments
Emailed the Lugmasters list today to ask them to check and advise of any inaccuracies in their LUG listings by logging an issue or pull request here. |
Gavin Hope you are well. Last I heard West Yorkshire Linux User Group was no more. However. Sheffield Linux User's Group is very much alive - www.sheflug.org.uk/indexpage. We have a mailing list and a Twitter or X account - https://twitter.com/ShefLUG. See our meetings page for more information about meetings. Hope this helps. |

Thanks Richard. I have opened two issue tickets to cover these and will be processing the Lugmaster responses in a few days to give everyone time to respond. |
@richardibbotson - As a side-note, I would suggest that you update the URLs (where supported) to https - I note that at least one link I followed from sheflug's site to the mailing list was http-only, and the URLs listed on https://sheflug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/sheflug_sheflug.org.uk are also http-only. |
Reviewed Jan 2024. Updated multiple LUGs. Some still require reviewing. |
It's been a while since we last reviewed what LUGs are still active, and we should review that, or perhaps add a mechanism to allow Lugmasters to confirm on an annual basis that their LUG is still active (or notify of the closing of a LUG).
