Add gradient text effects to Gutenberg blocks with customizable colors and predefined gradients!

Description

WP Gradient Text is a simple, user-friendly plugin that adds gradient text effects to specific Gutenberg blocks.

With it, you can:

  • Toggle gradient effects for text in paragraphs, headings, quotes, and verses.
  • Choose from predefined gradient colors.
  • Use gradient presets provided by your theme.
  • Customize your own gradient colors.

Installation

  1. Download the .zip file from GitHub. To do so, click on the green "Code" button and select "Download ZIP".
  2. Upload the zip file to your WordPress site by navigating to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
  4. Once activated, open the WordPress Block Editor and select a supported block (e.g., paragraph, heading, quote, or verse).
  5. In the block settings panel, you'll find gradient options to customize the text gradient.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my theme's gradient presets?

Yes! If your theme defines gradient presets, they will be available in the Gradient Picker along with the plugin's predefined gradients.

Which blocks support the gradient text effect?

Currently, the plugin supports paragraphs, headings, quotes, and verses. We plan to add more blocks in future releases.
