Keep exif data when converting to jpg

When converting from heic to jpg currently the exif data gets lost.
My Installation is on VM Linux Ubuntu 24 LTS.
Is there an option when installing the Nextcloud App to activate the exif data transfer to the Target Image.

if Not this would be a nice Feature to set a flag during installation or to activate exif transfer in the installed App.

thanks for the suggestion, that's actually something I could take a look into.
I think it would be reasonable to transfer the EXIF data by default, and this would save me from reading into how I can make this app configurable.
I just can't promise when this will be the case.
