is there a canonical start process to a marimo project using uv

starting my first marimo project and I "think" there are multiple ways to set up a project. I want to start (yes I am late to the party) using uv and marimo. I am using linux mint and python ( with a possible side order of mojo and julia).

What do devs do to set up a project called my_first_marimo_coloring_book

I worded the question poorly. I wanted to which was more canonical uv init or marimo init. Can you help me with that?

You can do uvx marimo edit to start marimo. Or uvx marimo tutorial intro to learn more

sorry but that doesn't address my question. I see two ways to start a marimo project ( without using the boilerplate)

1. uv init
2. marimo init

I am asking what is the difference and is one better than the other.

On the topic of the starter template it states that a prerequisite is python 3.12 +
does this mean I have to run

uv use 3.14.2

I have NO idea where I got that command from. I have watched a few youtube videos so maybe my notes got screwed up. I am sorry to have wasted your time.
On the topic of using the canonical project approach you sent me the link to, one of the prerequisites is python 3.12 + I am using linux mint where the python is 3.10.3 from pip. I have python 3.13.2 as well.
my question is do I run uv use 3.13.2 for every project I start using uv init for marimo
