- stuff like that
- edit /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf
- to the command= line under server-Standard, add
-nolisten tcp
6.) Set up printing:
redhat-config-printer-gui
- Add appropriate printers and stuff
if you want to let others besides localhost print, change the:
REJECT SERVICE=X NOT SERVER

REJECT SERVICE=X NOT REMOTEIP 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0
this will restrict it to local subnet
7.) in /etc/pam.d, remove the following:
poweroff

change timeout to 1
add hdc=ide-scsi to the kernel string
rm /dev/cdrom
ln -s /dev/scd0 /dev/cdrom

cd /etc
mv ntp.conf ntp.conf.rhat
ln -s /usr/local/apps/ntp/* .

NOTE: only do this AFTER all the patches are installed, so
that you get the latest version, or just get it from kernel.org)
CASE: Make sure to compile sidewinder as a module
19.) For joystick support, add 'modprobe sidewinder' in rc.local.
20.) for support for the i8k buttons, do a 'make', 'make install' as root and
then copy the i8kbuttons script into /etc/init.d. Link it to where
it should be.
