Running Meson

Use Meson to create and build a new sample project.
meson init --name testproject --build

You can edit the code with any editor and it is rebuilt by going in the build subdirectory and executing the meson compile command. If your version of Meson is too old, you can compile the project by running the command ninja instead.

Hence, I did

$ meson init --name testproject --language fortran --build
$ ./build/testproject

... (a file content change)

$ cd build
$ meson compile

meson version: 0.53.2

Is that version too old?

Right after, I did

$ ninja
ninja: error: loading 'build.ninja': No such file or directory
$ cd ..
$ ninja
ninja: error: loading 'build.ninja': No such file or directory

Please advise the correct statements and update the doc. Tia

I have tested with version: 0.61.1. The problem still exists with much longer Traceback.

I do confirm that with version: 0.61.1 the instructions are consistent.
