<project_id>-update-po from module i18n doesn't update the version string from pot file

project('noname', 'c', version : '1.0.0.1', default_options : ['warning_level=3'])
i18n = import('i18n')
gettext = i18n.gettext(
	meson.project_name(),
	args: [
		'--from-code=UTF-8',
		'--msgid-bugs-address="[email protected]"',
		'--package-version="' + meson.project_version() + '"' 
	]
)

Above produce correctly the pot information:

"Project-Id-Version: noname "1.0.0.1"\n"

But when I update the project version:
project('noname', 'c', version : '1.0.0.2', default_options : ['warning_level=3'])
The pot file is updated the version correctly, but the po keeps the old version. Any ideas? I know that I need to edit manually, but I'd like to know if is possible to also update the po file based on the updated pot file.
