More details about "install count" calculation for VS Code?

Hi,
Could you please define exactly what is the "installs" counter for Visual Studio Code Marketplace?

In particular, I wonder what happens if a company distributes a VSIX file to their users to install, and later updates come from the VS Code Marketplace. Does the VSIX file install get counted (probably not)? Does the update register with the marketplace as an "install"?

Do deinstalls and reinstalls count as a new install? (bumping the number higher)
