Better connection between widgets and process chain input

Describe enhancement or capability desired:
We need a better way in the project to utilize widget (e.g. time 
controller or navigation widget) and to make connections between the 
output from these widgets and the inputs or parameters of a process chain.



Describe how you see this being used:
e.g. If I create a widget to control pitch-roll-yaw and height above 
ellipsoid, I should be able in the project to specify that a data item 
instantiate this widget, and I should be able to explicitly link these 
parameters to inputs of the process chain
