How to add tags to filename?

looking to download files from a booru and i want all tags to be in the filename (comma separated). how can i do that?

For 1: you can't due to filesystem limitations. Well, up to a point, then you likely hit a wall that prevents using/moving/copying the file (at least on Window$), which is very bad.

For 2: the keywords could change anytime, and when they do, some could be added to the filename, thus you can't find the file without redownloading. Hell, you can't find the file when the filename doesn't have the rest of the keywords to begin with. So, it's a pretty damn bad idea.

Linux filesystems are actually more limited in filename length than windows. Most filesystems are limited to 255 bytes for a filename while windows is limited to 255 characters. A single character can be multiple bytes.

Btw, images can have hundreds or thousands of tags sometimes.
Edit: you were probably thinking of path length which wasn't a problem on linux but was on windows but windows removed the path length limit (it might not be enabled by default, idk)

You can use gallery-dl -K URL to get a list of all given metadata fields with example values.
Tags are not always called {tags}. Danbooru uses {tag_string_*}, for example.
