Hey @mikf, can you help me read between the lines in your response?

Are you saying that gallery-dl already supports Wordpress, and we should use a configuration option?
Or are you saying it doesn't support Wordpress yet, and this is on the list of things that can be resolved once we have a Wordpress extractor?
Or something else?

I took a very brief look at this site and its HTML when I first first saw this issue. I noticed it uses Wordpress as backend so I commented and tagged it, but I'm not sure if it follows the general Wordpress site layout, if there even is such a thing.

gallery-dl doesn't support Wordpress sites in general (yet) and I somehow doubt a general wordpress Extractor would even work here.
