Draggable carousel with links on desktop doesn't work

Hi, I wonder how I could make it work on desktop: I have a carousel with product cards, which are wrap with <a> tag. On touch screens the drag functionality behaves as expected but on desktop by interaction with a mouse it doesn't really work because the "draggable" area shrinked to spaces between cards. Cards themselves aren't draggable because they're links.

Is there any way to make such carousel fully draggable on desktop?
