Auto create playlist with watch later data preserved

I understand that mpv's new autocreate-playlist option creates a playlist with watch later data erased.

Is it possible to request that an option be added to auto create a playlist with watch later data preserved?

This will be very helpful if one is watching a multi-episode TV series and does not remember the last file played.
