I just added MA and I can get everything working with the Radio Browser and Spotify but for some reason SiriusXM will not play anything for me. I have it setup and can get the list of stations and when I choose one it acts like it starts playing for a couple of seconds then it just stops but I never get any music. Has anyone else ran into this? I read that someone was having an issue getting it to load so not really the same but he changed his login to not be an email address and it fixed his issue and I tried that as well but that did not help me.

If you hit play a second time does it work? There's an issue where the first time you try to play it starts up but doesn't play, then if you request to play again it works.

No I tried that as well. It just acts like it is starting to buffer I can get the name of the station and the song playing but around 3-5 seconds it just stops but I never get any sound out.

I am having the same issue. Music Assistant Server and Home assistant have been updated to the latest version. I have also switched the Music Assistant Integration to the integrated Home Assistant version.

I'm seeing some issues as well on my end, but as it's the holidays it'll take me a few days to dig in. Restarting MA and then attempting to play gave some results, but understand that's not feasible all the time.

I just updated to the version of MA that came out today and now I can get Sirius to play for me. I have to click play 3 times but it does start playing the channel now.

Hoping this is helpful. I'm experiencing similar issues with Sirius not streaming reliably but I have found a way to reproduce and consistently get it to work.

• If a player is streaming anything but Sirius, have it stream a Sirius station, it will appear to stream but there will be no sound (though the play button changes to pause for that player indicating it thinks something is streaming)

• power that player off in the MA interface

• power the player back on in the MA interface

• hit "play" on the Sirius station, it will consistently play

Not much in those logs for me, unfortunately. I'm seeing similar startup issues on my end, the workaround I've landed on is:

• Try to play a SiriusXM channel
  • This will likely fail. It will look like it's playing, with the pause icon being visible, but no music is being played.
• Go and play some other radio station. I happen to use TuneIn as a stand-in here. This will play.
• Go back and play the SiriusXM channel. In all my attempts, this has worked.

I'm not really sure yet why this is happening and I haven't had a chance to dig in.

If people are interested in helping with the debugging process - it would be interesting to try to pull up the m3u8 url manually in VLC (or some other player capable of playing m3u8 playlists) from the sxm-client webserver manually during the phase where MA thinks SXM is playing, but it's not. If VLC is capable of playing the m3u8 playlist, that might point to something going on in MA. If the m3u8 playlist isn't working in VLC, it might point to an issue with the client. I believe the m3u8 playlist url is being emitted as a DEBUG log in the siriusxm provider code.

I'm hoping I can get to this next week but life finds a way to not cooperate so far.
