Why not choose maven to manage code?

The build file of ant seems to be difficult to maintain, so I tried to hand over the build work to maven, the third-party dependencies of the project and some other initialization work, which I defined in the pom.xml file. The effect is as I expected, and the capacity of the jar package has become smaller.

This is the branch I built using maven. By the way, my English is very bad, I hope you can understand what I mean.

To use maven will be probably easier. The main reason why we are "stuck" with Ant build.xml(s) is to save effort during transition because currently we have already 104 different build.xml files in our source tree...

Wow. It's really difficult, in my opinion, most of the build files are actually from the test module, I feel like I can try to modify it, but it might take a long time.I can add test functionality for my new extension module (json) by the way.

Another story is, that somebody can prefer for example gradle build tool. Sometimes is difficult satisfy all developers...
