Extending the accordion layout to allow scrolling

The window control of PaperWM.spoon and other scrolling window managers works well for me.

Maybe the accordion layout could be extended to allow a similar workflow. For example, a "three-window horizontal accordion" could look like the following.
If W2 is focused, a focus right would focus W3. If W3 is focused, a focus right would focus W4 in the third position and shift W3 and W2 to the left (pushing W1 off screen).
