🪲 Description

With Mist, form my Macbook Pro 2019 (Intel I7), I am desperately trying to create a bootable drive on a 16GB micro-SDHD card formatted in macOS Extended Journaled, Guid scheme, for an old Imac 2010.

I have given full disk access to the terminal and to Mist.

I click on the "Create bootable MacOS installer" button, but the process stops at the "error creating MacOS installer in disk image" step... with the following message: An error has occurred! - Invalid Termination Status: 1 ditto: Cannot get the real path for source '/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app'

📋 Steps to Reproduce

  • Open Mist.app
  • Click on download and export macOS installer (high sierra)
  • Wait for the app to create the macos installer in Disk image
  • Observe error Invalid Termination Status: 1 (Cannot get the real path for source '/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app')

✅ Expected Behaviour

The app should create the disk image for the installer

💻 Environment

  • Mist version (App menu ⇨ About Mist): 0.20.1
  • macOS Version (sw_vers): Sonoma 14.0
  • Hardware (system_profiler SPHardwareDataType):
  • Model Identifier: MacbookPro 2019
  • Chip : 2,6 GHz Intel Core i7
