Will there be support for atlas based animation ?

What is the atlas format that needs to be supported?
If this is a text file, and there are frame images next to it, then updates to individual images will not cause the animation to be re-imported. You'll have to launch it manually.

This is quite possible, but so far the addon has specialized in importing single files.
