In exchange for a free service, the thing of value that we get in exchange is storing the scan results to help with future testing, identifying patterns, and things like which domains use which cipher suites.

Not sure what this will turn into, but the ability to learn from scans is important. A paid version of the site (offsetting the costs of providing the service in the first place) as well as running the open-source tools yourself (instead of using our hosting infrastructure) will allow you to opt-out of anonymized/aggregated data retention.
