Doesn't understand 'binary varying' datatype

Create a table like this:

        sql.execute("CREATE TABLE t1_binary ( f1 BINARY, f2 BINARY(5), f3 VARBINARY(5), f4 BINARY LARGE OBJECT, f5 BLOB (5K));")
        sql.execute("INSERT INTO t1_binary VALUES ('a',0x12345678,'abc','abc','abc');")

And then try to select * from it over the pynuodb driver, you get:
DataError: 'received unknown column type from the database "binary varying"'
