How to enable Stockfish to use both CPU on the dual Intel Xeon motherboard

Dear friends, is it possible to enable Stockfish 17 working on both CPU on the dual Intel Xeon motherboard? No matter how many CPU I put in the settings (maximum 72) Stockfish uses only one physical CPU, the second one is always idle. Many thanks in advance!

Have you tried setoption name NumaPolicy value hardware ?

On a HP z840 windows 10, uefi at default, both the Xeon are loaded, either with the windows version

.\stockfish-windows-x86-64-bmi2.exe bench 16 48 20 default depth

or the linux version in WSL2:

./stockfish-ubuntu-x86-64-bmi2 bench 16 48 20 default depth
