Issue
When tick interval != 1, thumbs cannot move across each other.

Steps to reproduce

Start sample
Set minimum distance to -1
Update tick interval to != 1
Move thumbs to each other

Expected behavior
Thumbs can be moved freely.

Actual behavior
Thumbs can not be moved across each other.
