OpenAI API "Unauthorized"

Hi there, I'm trying to get a couple other applications to talk to the openai api served by text-generation-webui, I can interact with the api on http://my-ip:5000 with curl from other machines on my network and all seems fine there, but nothing that I have that talks to openai can connect.

n8n just says "Not able to connect with those credentials" and open-webui says "unauthorized"

I have tried:

• adding /v1, not adding /v1
• requiring api-key, not requiring api-key
• passing api-key, not passing api-key
• specifying gpt-3.5-turbo as the model (that's what shows up I think by design in the models list)
• specifying the model that's loaded

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was able to get this working after applying the patch in that link so the API extension reported models. Connection errors in n8n were lies, it connects anyway. I had to add my ooba host/key by env variable to openwebui for that to work.

I'll write up a more comprehensive explanation when I get some time just in case it will help someone in the future
