E-mail Threading

It seems people are confused on keeping the threaded requests helpful to the authorities.

I got at least one authority being confused about several separate requests and I suspect the e-mail is not threaded so the authority would see them as a single thread.

Now in order to keep the information threaded under a request it seems we have to copy the initial request into any follow-ups clarifications etc. ?

My understanding is email threading sometimes doesn't occur, however, if an authority replies with a specific subject that subject is generally moved across.

I agree that threading could be useful, I wonder if this has been raised upstream yet.
