Python packaging has moved on and setup.py will be deprecated with pip v25+. NAGL should switch to pyproject.toml. We started out with a pyproject.toml but removed it due to #28. Lately the openff-toolkit has moved onto pyproject.toml without apparent warnings so maybe this has resolved.
