What are the odds of getting the recent ucode-mod-uclient support backported to 23.05?

I've played with it a bit, just blindly changing the PKG_SOURCE_VERSION and otherwise hacking up the Makefile, but I'm out of my depth and can only get it to build, but not run properly.
