Important notices
Before you add a new report, we ask you kindly to acknowledge the following:

Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is, including last known working version (if any).
The NUT plugin is incomplete because of various reasons:

  • opnsense shuts down instantly on power loss and does not wait for low battery
  • no gui config of options either when ups is connected via usb or network as slave
  • no documentation to configure via terminal in config files
  • tried modifying files in /usr/local/etc/nut which is overwritten on next boot by /usr/local/opnsense/service/templates/OPNsense/Nut/

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.
There should be settings via gui or terminal/config modifications that are persistent and documented as per NUT samples

Additional context
Add any other context about the problem here.
Multiple bug reports have been filed before, and they have been neglected:

Ignoring and bashing your community is not the approach I would expect this platform takes. Not everyone is a developer and there is a reason people come looking here for solutions.

Environment
Software version used and hardware type if relevant.
e.g.:
Baremetal
Versions
OPNsense 24.7.4_1-amd64
FreeBSD 14.1-RELEASE-p4
OpenSSL 3.0.15
