At today's stand up, we discussed doing code reviews in the Orcahome repo. We have 6 early career devs express interest in learning how to do code reviews.
Are there any experienced devs who would like to mentor early career devs on how to do code reviews? If so, please put your name and contact info in this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1syXkXWrgs-ygkunePujTYQ0gfsG1nT4ueH4Cgf7x5ro/edit?usp=sharing. Feel free to just put the contact info you feel comfortable sharing.
Early career devs who want to be mentored- please review the mentor spreadsheet linked above and reach out to mentors who you would like to be mentored by (I've filled in the names only of the 6 early career devs who would like to be mentored). Feel free to connect with them in Slack, GitHub, or via email. You can fill out the mentee row once you and a mentor have agreed to work together.
Finally, as you start to do code reviews, please document your work in GitHub using industry best practices to reduce redundancy. I'm not sure how code reviews are documented, so please let me know if I need to do anything on my end as an administrator.
Thanks all for making Orcasound an amazing place to volunteer!
