Hi @shreyajaiswal17

I think so when you star the repository and enable the email notification in the GitHub setting then you’ll be able to received mails. And if you’re confused for about how to contribute you can simply raise the issue or search for any unassigned open issue and apply for it.

Apart from this you can have a look at this discussion- https://github.com/orgs/GSSoC24/discussions/175, by @sanjay-kv to have a better idea.

@shreyajaiswal17 I hope I didnt misunderstood your comment , If you mean you will be assigned to some projects to start contribuiting Then No you are wrong projects are not assigned to contributors by self , you can select any no. of projects by your self through gssoc website according to your techstack and start contribuiting ,create issues there get assigned to issues and start working , If you are a beginner you should explore this #175 and start working if you need any help feel free to contact me .
