YOURLS in subdirectory

Hello,
I reviewed manual , and I did as it was written there. But I didn't succeed.

Scenario:
domain - example.com
I want YOURLS running from http://example.com but with all files installed in their own directory, say http://example.com/yourls/

Below is the configuration.

define( 'YOURLS_SITE', 'https://example.com/yourls' );

But when I want to redirect, for example to https://example.com/github, It redirects me to a page https://example.com/yourls and gives an error. Please help. Thanks in advance.

This sounds like a subdomain redirect.

I have a subdomain (visit.mysite.com) setup and YOURLS is in a folder named links. I set the visit.mysite.com to point to mysite.com/links folder. I don't see the links folder in the URL when I surf to visit.mysite.com

This can be done at your webhost.
