Ableton clip to do a Program Change

Hey,

I'm able to load different instrument presets with "Reload saved midi program" button by using mouse in Element, but it doesn't work from Ableton's clip where I set "Pgm Change" 1, 2, ... . Should it work?

Separate test: NI FM8, Massive and other VST synths works from a clip, but Element VST doesn't.

If it supposed to work (this feature exists), that's all I wanted to know. I will try different versions, different laptops, etc. BTW, I'm on Intel Macbook.

Yeah, it should work as you're expecting it to. Sounds like a bug. Is this Ableton on Windows?

This is Ableton 10 on Mac OS Mojave. Where can I download older versions of Element? That is all I can test, hoping that some version will work. Maybe Mac OS version is too old (not sure how deep Element uses libraries on OS)?

Have you saved the plugin state( the one your sending to) by saving an Element MIDI preset ? It doesn't look like you have.
There are no MIDI presets by default to respond to the PGCs. Choose a preset in your plugin. Save the first MIDI preset in element. ( floppy disc Icon ) continue building MIDI presets by pressing + , choose your plugin preset, and then save again by pressing the floppy icon. PGCs are working for me in Live 10 ... worth a shot :)

I was playing around it for half an hour so maybe this is not the best screenshot. Anyway, let me test Ableton 11, AU instead of VST, another laptop and more things around it. Today, I can't, but will get back in a few days.

Does electrax respond to program changes directly in other hosts ? if so, try turning off the global and MIDI preset option so the PGC passes directly to the plugin.

They are both working for me.

btw I'm using Live 10, BigSur 11.7 element AU.

I found the cause.

This is Program Change issue in Element VST3.
Element VST and AU work fine with any instrument.
